Picture quality
The P7K uses TCL’s QLED colour science paired with full-array LED backlighting. In my colour accuracy test at the Movie preset without calibration, the P7K measured within 2.5 Delta-E of the D65 reference across the DCI-P3 gamut, which is competitive with TVs priced $100 more from Samsung and Hisense at the same size.
Dolby Vision IQ is implemented correctly: the ambient light sensor adjusts tone mapping as room lighting changes from a bright morning to an evening. In my time-of-day test, the transition was smooth and the adjusted picture was consistently better than leaving the preset static across the day.

Google TV on the P7K is the same platform as on TCL’s QM6K. App launches are fast. The content discovery across subscriptions in the For You feed is useful in daily use.
